The St. Teresa of Avila Health Ministry believes everyone is called to be a good steward of their mind, body, and spirit in order to reach her/ his highest God-designed potential. We are also called to support each other in community. The Health Ministry promotes holistic health and wellness through activities that support and strengthen the mental, physical, and spiritual needs of the St. Teresa community.

Do you have a family member or friend who struggles with mental health challenges?
St. Teresa of Avila is now offering a Family Support Group as a NAMI affiliate (National Alliance on Mental Illness). A free, confidential and safe support group of families helping other families who live with mental health challenges will be offered each month led by trained facilitators. These facilitators are not therapists, but individuals trained to help offer understanding, emotional support, education and awareness to others through their own lived experience.
This support group is for family members, friends, care givers and loved ones of those who suffer with a serious mental health challenge.
As of December 2020, the NAMI meetings are held virtually.
