What is “Christ Renews His Parish?”

 Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) is a process designed to bring members of a parish together in Christ. All of our commitments, including our commitment to Christ, need continued renewal if we are to be faithful. CRHP is an effective spiritual renewal process which calls together the members of the parish in order to experience personal conversion and Christian community in the environment of our own parish.

What CRHP is NOT:

• It is not a silent retreat
• It is not a parish organization
• It is not a public confession
• It is not an emotional cult
• It is not a pre-selected group
• It is not a parish clique

Let our hearts and minds be open to your words.  Help us receive your knowledge while we renew our faith. Let us recognize the importance of taking ownership of our parish so we may become willing servants. 

Help us know our gifts and talents and share them generously.  Strengthen our commitment to our faith community and to building your Kingdom.

Christ Renews His Parish:

A Renewal Weekend for the Community of St. Teresa of Avila

What Happens on the Weekend?

Most who have participated in the weekend experience say that “you can’t explain what happened; you have to experience it.”

Come prepared to have fun and renew your heart. The process is centered around reflections by team members with emphasis on small group discussions and activities. 

You will be free to share as much or as little as you are comfortable with. You and your needs will always be respected. You may expect an opportunity, in a relaxed atmosphere, to respond to Christ’s call to a closer and deeper relationship with him.

When and Where are the Weekends Held?

The weekends will be held at St Teresa from Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon. There will be one men’s weekend and one women’s weekend held during Lent.

Women's Weekend is scheduled for March 17-18, 2012

Sleeping accommodations and meals will be provided. The entire weekend is informal. Casual and comfortable clothing is the “uniform of the day.” Every effort will be made to accommodate special needs.

 Who May Attend?

The weekend is open to all community members 19 and older. CRHP is for anyone seeking spiritual renewal, desiring to build up the Body of Christ or gain a deeper sense of purpose within the community. Praying for guidance is important. If you feel that Christ, through the Holy Spirit is calling you—COME!
